Anti-Racism Circle NOVEMBER

People who identify as white and/or benefit from white privilege who are engaging in anti-racism work are welcome to this monthly psychedelic integration circle on the last Thursday of each month. We meet in this community to discuss how psychedelics can support the lifelong process of dismantling white supremacy in ourselves and in our communities. Integration is a vital component of the entheogenic experience, bridging the ineffable elements of the medicine journey with one’s daily life.

In this space, participants will be led in a brief grounding practice, oriented to the co-created community space, and invited to share their psychedelic experiences as they interrelate with their experience in dismantling white supremacy, both within and outside of themselves. Registration closes 24 hours prior to the event.

***Our collective is a BIPOC-centered organization. This integration space is being curated and facilitated in close relationship with and with feedback from PLC’s BIPOC members."

Registration fee: We offer three tiers of payment for this circle. As you select your payment, we invite you to consider your location on the green bottle sliding scale. Please note, proceeds will go toward supporting PLC services for BIPOC folks.

Facilitators:

Micah Saniyah (xe/them/their)

Micah Saniyah earned their Master’s Degree in Social Work and graduate certificate in Women’s and Gender Studies from Eastern Michigan University in 2016. Xe enjoys working with LGBTQIA+ clients, as well as individuals exploring issues related to self-worth, perfectionism, ADHD, trauma, depression, anxiety, whiteness and white-body supremacy. Xe is also a polyamory and kink-aware therapist. As a queer, non-binary, white person, xe is passionate about understanding embodied white supremacy and settler colonialism, engaging in healing practices to unlearn intergenerational and current patterns of dominance and violence. Xe is driven by a deep desire to engage in this work themselves and to co-create spaces with other white folks in which they may collectively heal their white supremacist parts.

Ayyur Sutherland (they/them)

Ayyur Sutherland earned their MSW in 2016. They have received training in Somatic and Attachment Focused EMDR, as well as Hakomi (mindfulness-based somatic psychotherapy). Their holistic and trauma-responsive practice is also informed by parts work and analytical psychology. Ayyur is a white queer, non-binary practitioner who is committed to the unlearning and healing of intergenerational trauma and injected settler colonialism/white supremacy. They understand this to be a life-long journey and are eager to continue to do this work in community with other white-bodied individuals, while holding themselves accountable to BIPOC. Ayyur’s own healing journey has been catalyzed by the intentional use of psychedelics, and they are a firm believer in the power of entheogens to aid in this process with others.

Djinn Thompson (they/them)

Djinn has over 20 years' experience with psychedelic plants and has been trip sitting in a professional capacity for over a decade. Djinn specializes in working with survivors of childhood trauma, those with treatment-resistant depression, and issues related to LGBTQ identities. Djinn came out as a nonbinary trans person in 2017. They are currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Social Work. Djinn was previously the host of the Psychedelic Parenting Podcast under their birth name, and has been a speaker on psychedelics and family life at multiple conferences, both in the US and abroad.
